THE CHALLENGE
Creating credibility around a complex and emerging category.
The Digital Pound Foundation was established to bring together stakeholders across financial services, technology, policy and academia around the development of new forms of digital money.
The organization needed an identity that could feel credible within institutional environments while remaining modern enough to represent an emerging financial ecosystem.
It also needed to work across very different applications, from policy papers and publications to social content, events and physical collateral.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Creating a visual foundation for an organization shaping the future of digital money.
The Digital Pound Foundation is a member-led forum focused on the development of a well-designed digital Pound and a wider ecosystem for new forms of digital money, including CBDCs, stablecoins and tokenised deposits.
We created the core brand identity and the practical system needed to carry it consistently across channels.
Industry: Fintech · Digital Money · Financial Services
Engagement: Brand identity and communication system
THE STRATEGIC RESPONSE
One identity designed to work across digital, physical and institutional communications.
Brand system + guidelines
We built a practical identity system covering logo usage, spacing, colour, typography and application rules.
Publications and collateral
The brand was applied across reports, thought leadership and long-form editorial content, creating a consistent visual language that could support more formal and institutional communication.
We also developed physical brand treatments across printed collateral and photography, helping connect the identity across both digital and real-world environments.
Digital and social
We extended the identity into a flexible system for social media and digital communications, creating recognizable visual elements that could work across announcements, thought leadership, events and wider community activity.
Brand identity
We created the Digital Pound Foundation logo and standalone mark around a recognizable pound symbol, supported by a circular graphic language designed to reflect connection, movement and digital infrastructure.
The Outcome
A recognizable identity supported by a scalable communication system.
We created a visual foundation that could grow with the Digital Pound Foundation as its audience, partnerships and industry activity expanded.
The identity moved consistently across social content, reports, events, photography and physical collateral while maintaining the credibility required for conversations across technology, financial services and policy.
The Result
A recognized voice across the digital money ecosystem.
The brand system provided a consistent foundation as the Digital Pound Foundation developed its industry presence, built strategic partnerships and expanded its program of events, research and policy engagement.
The organization later became part of Innovate Finance in 2025, bringing its established community and work into the wider UK fintech industry body.
A scalable brand system that supported the Foundation as it grew its reach, partnerships and industry presence.
